Cardiff offers a 160 acre regional park situated on several historic coal mine sites. Cardiff Park is a day use park with single family and group picnic sites, picnic shelters, stand-up bbq's and fire pits. Three playground structures are in this park and other features include horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, softball/slowpitch diamonds and full size soccer pitches. Cardiff Lake, situated within the park, is a local fishing hole for trout and perch. Walk or bike ride on the five km "red ribbon" trail system and in the winter enjoy cross country skiing.
